I Can Reach Out To You, With My Own Two Hands

…………….
“I can change the world
With my own two hands
Make it a better place
With my own two hands
Make it a kinder place
With my own two hands” (lyrics Ben Harper )

…………..

I´m back from  France!

Jone, my friend from the workshop in Briançon,

is definitely making the world a brighter place.

She brings sunshine wherever she goes!

The beautiful brooch and the flowers are some of her stitching projects from the workshop.

The Skating Monkey wants to discuss art and craft with true professionals and he invites

all my friends from the workshop for afternoon tea,

in The Vintage Fairy Tales garden.

Well, anyone who wants to make the world a better place is WELCOME!

Be prepared for lots of laughs and artistic work.

The Skating Monkey is the world´s best host and ensures that the pastries will never end.

Stay tuned, I will be back with lots of nice photos from the workshop!

Love/

Becky

Why Can´t The World Be More Like In My Dreams?

……………………….
“Why can´t the world be more like in my dreams
It would be full of all my favorite things
The sun shining in the sky
And suddenly I can fly
I´m a little bird up high
In V formation with my favorite guys” ( Flight Of The Conchords )
….
The “Julie Arkell Workshop” in Briançon this summer wasn´t a dream,
although it seems like that a rainy day like this.
I have to keep up the good mood and creative spirit from these unforgettable days.
I have to.

I Pee When I Laugh

Okay people, I know that I´ve promised to tell you everything about the “5 – days creative

workshop”, in Briançon.

This time I will not give you any Fairy Tales, here comes the true story;

Workshop means literally hard work.

Imagine a very serious group of very serious women from America, Great Britain, Australia

and Sweden, focused and concentrated on stitching and knitting.

There wasn´t any time for discussions about art, craft and life in general.

No time for making new friends.

We didn´t rock with laughter, not once.

We had no time or interest to eat and drink Katies and Mikes excellent food and wine.

I had no time to discuss gardening with Linda and I didn´t take any photos in the garden.

Sue was very busy stitching so she missed all the chances to tease Mike.

Margo spent all her time making embroiderys on flowers,

so she couldn´t keep the rest of the world updated about the workshop through Facebook.

Unlike all the humans The dog “Dog” slept all the time,

so he never barked at wild and dangerous animals in the bushes.

Have I missed something important, please correct me!

By the way Sue, sometimes I laugh when I pee.
