Both of you look very charming in your hats. Do you collect vintage hats?

When I was little and my Mom would go shopping, she could leave me in the Hat section for hours. I LOVED trying on hats!!! All kinds of hats!!! Most every photo I have of my beautiful Mom from the 1930′s, she is wearing a hat. How stylish they were back then…nowadays you hear, “But it will ruin my hair!” Thank goodness you and your partner in crime do not worry about such silliness…Hats Off to…. ummmmmm, HATS!!!

I wear hats ALL the time myself…but I must say that the pill box hat you are wearing was like one of many I wore to church as a teenager. Jackie Kennedy re-introduced the pill box and they had those darling “cage veils” attached! You both look mah-vel-ous! Wonderful photos!

Oh My Goodness……dressing up in vintage hats in the Vintage Fairy Tales……just my “cup of tea” or glass of cold white wine!!!!! When you come visit my home someday……we can spend hours trying on my collection of hats! I collect them mostly for the “vintage flower gardens” so lovingly planted on them, and then “de-flower” some of them to create a lovely broach which will end up in your mail box someday!!!! I have to hold a few creations back for surprise gifts when needed…….! I will have access to a computer in the next few weeks so let’s keep in touch! LOVE- Oolie

Looks like I have to postpone my trip this year, i wrote to Kate at Les Soeurs, and she has put the deposit towards next year – I will be doubly excited by then.

meantime i will have to content with living vicariously thorugh your blog…

You and Skating Monkey both look just too wonderful in your hats. Hey, your personal penquins coulda been part of The Vintage Fairytales on Monday. It was crazy hat day at school. Ry wore an old aviators helmet and GK wore a jesters hat with bells. The playground was filled with kids in very funny hats…..Skating Monkey would have loved it.

you look great in anything…nearly finished my swedish inspired jumper…knitting quickly …i am dying to do a post on it…just bought a beautiful dress from gudrun…thought of you…
