Well..I was going to argue with the Skating Monkey…even though the Tulips are lovely. In the land of the Little Rock, Spring means Summer (Another change) and Summer is DREADFUL here!! It is NOTsitting in your wicker chair on the front porch, sipping lovely cool drinks. NOoooooo…Summer here is Wet and Sweat and rashes and mosquitoes and cockroaches frolickling in the kitchen when you turn on the lights. Not to mention Ticks ready to suck your blood like bloated Vampires! Hrumph….gee, can you tell I do NOT look forward to Southern Summers? Don’t even ask about the SNAKES!!!!
But…I must admit to having a dramatic Bout of Spring Fever today…restless and bored and READY FOR CHANGE!!!! So, Skating Monkey- Bring it on!!!!

For you not being an English speaker primarily, you have an amazing command of the language, my dear friend! ….and great taste in lyrics from some incredible songs.

It is -10 here in New Mexico, are you staying warm, dear Linda in NM? I think that it must be as cold as what I think it is in Sweden in the winter. At least the sun is shining brightly, which plays a little trick on the brain, BUT, when it goes down – brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I am ready for tulips. I am going to go look for some tomorrow so I can have them on my table to brighten up the room.

Bring on autumn, warm days, cool nights. It’s been hovering around and over 30c for the last few days, so good siesta weather in the shade, not good for gardening or working, and too humid at night for sleep. Spring can’t be too far away for you now poppet.

I’ll vote for those words to be taken out of my dictionary too. I live in the desert for goodness sake and it is 2 degrees at noon on Feb. 2. This high will be 8, if we are lucky. I like “winter” if it plays nice but this year the old woman has a nasty hand smack.

We are in the middle of an ice storm. The BIG storm in the US has covered almost half the country. YES, we need spring now. But here where I live, spring is at the end of March!
