Becky dear- I was so surprised to see the hand puppet monkey featured on your blog, and happy to learn that he made a smooth transition from Colorado to Vintage Fairy Tales, especially after being jammed into my suitcase in NYC, Boston, Paris and finally getting a breath of fresh air at Briancon!!!!!!! He really begged me to spring him out of the antique store where he was dying of boredom. I hope he “BEHAVES” (in an Austin Powers voice-over!) around all those scantily clad Nancy Ann dolls…..whoa baby!!!!!!!!

Hrumph….Watch Out, Skating Monkey! Those babes might seem genuine in their affections and attentions, but I think they are just trying to Kiss Up before the next Model Competition. Of course, that’s not to say you won’t enjoy the adoration…just don’t expect any sincerity.
On the other hand, “Maurice” (I agree with Hens teeth!) seems such a tender and dear little suitcase monkey…look at that face…just look at it! That little hat…..How could you not want to hold him close and tell him everything will be just fine.

Ah not only is Oolie’s gift inspired but your photo is too!
I love monkeys too and have tried several times to make a monkey for Le Toy Van but it seems to me that one either loves them or hates them!
I designed a pirate monkey about 5 years ago, but they stopped production a couple of years later, I have 2 here in the office….maybe monkey pirate could go emigrate to a lovely home in Sweden?

I am so glad the skating monkey can be friends with suitcase monkey. I am sure skating monkey can show him the ropes. My monkeys will be jealous that they are not on my blog as often as skating monkey. I think he should host his own television show.
