……………..

I´m so sorry my friends,

while I was busy baking gingerbreads,

things got out of control in the Vintage Fairy Tales.

Sitting , Waiting, Wishing

admin | November 24, 2009

…………….

“Now I was sitting waiting wishing
that you believed in superstitions
then maybe you’d see the signs”  (Jack Johnson lyrics)

…………..

Pottery by my very talented sister Johanna Frey Skött.

Thank´s Johanna for your encouragement and support,

but  I´m still wondering why you  didn´t bring me to that Bob Marley concert,

in the early eighties?

Stand By Me

admin | November 22, 2009

……………..

“Oh, I won’t be afraid
just as long as you stand
stand by me” (Ben E. King )

……………..

May I introduce to you two of the actors, from the great HBO show Carnivále.

Brother Justin still gives me nightmares.

In the final battle between Good and Evil,

who will win?

Where Have You Been My Blue-Eyed Son

admin | November 17, 2009

_mg_0654

…………….

“Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?
I’ve stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains,
I’ve walked and I’ve crawled on six crooked highways,
I’ve stepped in the middle of seven sad forests,
I’ve been out in front of a dozen dead oceans,
I’ve been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard,
And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, and it’s a hard,
And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall.” (Bob Dylan , lyrics )

………….

I fought very hard to win this thoughtful fellow, in the eBay adrenaline countdown system.

It was maybe my most expensive eBay transaction ever.

I was very excited the day of his arrival,

telling the rest of the world, my family, that it was absolutely forbidden to even touch him.

He was beautiful and longed-for my blue-eyed son,

but soon was a hard rain gonna fall.

After two minutes of intense friendship he fell out of my hands.

He was split in half .

Me too.

My first reaction was; did anyone see me? No.

Brain surgery was performed quickly, in great secrecy.

My darling had to stay in hospital for a long time.

My family and my main sponsor still do not know about it.

I have to think about my credibility.

If,

for example my husband would hear about this

I would tell him to never ever believe in Vintage Fairy Tales.

………….

“Those were the days my friend
We thought they’d never end”…..(Mary Hopkins)

Getting back from the “JULIE ARKELL WORKSHOP“,

we were full of inspiration and good ideas.

SAM and I, drinking coffee, listening to “The Flight Of The Conchords”,

needle and thread, a table full of fabrics, ribbons and buttons.

Bracelets and flowers to all the happy people.

Homemade pecan banana bread.

In the cottage, nice summer days to remember.

Take me back to where I belong,

goodbye November.

I Can Tell That We Are Gonna Be Friends

admin | November 7, 2009

Falk

……………….

“fall is here, hear the yell
back to school, ring the bell
brand new shoes, walking blues
climb the fence, book and pens
I can tell that we are gonna be friends”  ( The White Stripes, Lyrics )

………

Friendly meetings and a nice cup of coffee,

that´s all I ask for,

…and a beautiful greenhouse in the garden would be great too…

Let´s Give Them Something To Talk About

admin | November 1, 2009

Card NY-1

…………….

People are talkin, talking ’bout people
I hear them whisper, you won’t believe it
They think we’re lovers kept under covers
I just ignore it, but they keep saying
We laugh just a little too loud
We stand just a little too close
We stare just a little too long
Maybe they’re seeing, something we don’t, Darlin’

Let’s give them something to talk about
How about love? ( Bonnie Raitt , lyrics )
