What Did You Learn In School Today Dear Little Boy Of Mine ?

………………..

Kreativ-Award

A very sweet friend of mine LINDA IN NEW MEXICO, has given me a blog award!

I had been spending time on Ebay for a while, when I one day met Linda. She was selling some “funky looking boy dolls” that I couldn´t resist.

Thank´s to the boys we´ve become very good friends and I just love her great sense of humor.

Linda is a mixed media artist and she believes that “whimsy is the only true reality”!

Thank´s Linda for being such a good and supportive friend!

The rule that comes with this award is that I have to list 7 tremendously relevant things about me, myself I.

1.I do have a driving licence but I never drive !

I have some kind of mysterious “not being able to drive a car syndrome”.

Some time ago there was an interesting documentary on TV about prominent and highly

successful people.

They shared a difficulty though. They could never learn how to drive no matter how hard they tried.

I identify myself with that group of people.

2. I met my husband in a camera shop. He was working there and I was just a customer.

We spent our honeymoon in the darkroom.

3.I have experienced an earthquake in Santa Fe´de Bogota´. Dangerous place .

I´ve also experienced what it feels like having an Colombian bacterium in my stomach,

I spent three weeks in bed with a super highway inside my body. Worse than the earthquake.

4. Once upon a time I got badly sunburned in Addis Abeba. Dangerous place too.

I was eighteen years old and  very interested in getting a nice tan

meanwhile my parents were adopting my brother Jakob.

It was by the way a very cloudy day.

5. I play the guitar almost every day. The average age of my audience is six years.

I have some really cool songs in my repertoire. Do you want to listen?

6.It happens that we have a DJ and music battle in my family,

the challenge is to play the best song ever. It never ends, believe me. But the wine does.

7. I always want to go home.

………………

Remember this is the world of Vintage Fairy Tales.

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth ?

Is there anyone out there who wants to share this award with me, please go ahead!

Yours sincerely

Becky

Rock Around The Clock

………….

Yes, it´s my birthday today.

To celebrate one´s birthday on a Friday is probably a good sign.

On a Monday? No, not a good sign.

……….

“When it´s eight, nine, ten, eleven too.

I´ll be goin´ strong and so will you.” ( Bill Haley )

Twenty-Four Years Just Waiting For A Chance

admin | October 3, 2009

_MG_6669

………………

“Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance,

to tell her how I´m feeling , maybe get a second glance,

now I´ve  got to get used to not living next door to Alice.” ( Smokie )

……….

As a ten year old girl I found these lyrics very heartbreaking. Poor guy.

As a grown up woman I consider this bloke to be a fool.

……….

Have a nice weekend!

Becky
